The Bombers danced their way to 2-1 in league play this past weekend with a humongous victory over the Milwaukee Barbarians.
A total of 13 tries, 11 conversions, and 1 penalty put the score at 90-3 by the final whistle.
Bombers coach, John Watson, was extremely proud over how well the team bounced back from the tough lost to Metropolis and were able to execute the game plan through the full 80 minutes. Fly-half Mark Menne was selected by coaches as Man of the Match for his 11/13 conversions, penalty kick, and try for a total of 30 points on the day. Fullback Scott Hanify was selected by Milwaukee for numerous try saving tackles in the open field.
The Bombers now look forward towards Palmer this Saturday, facing the last opponent of the league. Palmer has the same record as the Bombers and both teams have a long history of playing against each other so the rivalry stakes have only been raised. If you feel like making the trip up to Davenport, Bombers always love the road support and fans. Paint it Black.
