On August 8th the St. Louis Bombers held their annual Bomber Open Golf Tournament at Forest Park Golf course. The golf tournament is one of the Bomber’s largest fundraisers of the year and this year was no exception, even with the ongoing pandemic.

This year marked the first time the tournament had sold out with 144 golfers and still had between 4-5 full teams on the waiting list wanting to participate.

The weather couldn’t have been better with a little overcast and a cool start in the morning.

Following the tournament lunch was served by the clubhouse while scores collected and the ongoing silent auction.

The winning teams for first flight, second flight, and mix were between -15, -11, -9, and -7 respectively.

At the end of the day it was a very successful tournament, seeing familiar faces and raising over $16,000 for the club!

While the golfers play a big part in the tournament the Bomber’s Open can’t happen without the golf board putting in many hours to organize the event, the volunteers, but more importantly the many sponsors who donated to this year’s tournament.

We look forward to next year’s tournament on August 14th, 2021 and possibly taking over all three courses at Forest Park with 180 golfers!!
